Heaven

So Braden and me were sitting eating and he decides to have one of those serious talks with me....you should know that Braden is my serious, compassionate, very smart, and sensitive kid so I took this talk to heart! He informs me that I can talk to God if I needed to and I told him that mommy talks to God alot several times a day it is good to talk to him, If u have faith in God you can get through anything he will always be by your side, Braden then says when will I get to meet him and I tried to explain the best I could that when it is your time to meet him it will be a wonderful peaceful time! So then he decides to tell me he is not ready to meet him and I am thinking Lord I am not ready either and I feel so selfish for saying this because there are so many parents around me that don't even get hours or days with there children so I just tried to finish this talk without crying but then he adds but when I do get to meet him Will I get to meet bigmomma ( bigmomma is my moms mom that we lost to cancer before Braden was born he has heard lots of stories and seen tons of pictures of her)  I told him of course you will she will be waiting with open arms she can't wait to meet you!!  This was a very sensitive talk because my Bigdaddy is on the downhill side of things right now just been a rough time.  This just reminds me how thankful and blessed I am to be Braden, Carter, and Emmas mom!  I love them more then they could ever imagine!!

Tooth Fairy Forgets to come!!

Braden lost his second tooth last night and I have been scared that this was going to happen and it did!!  I am not big on losing teeth it is the stage in their lives that I have not looked forward to I just feel that is the big step to not being my baby anymore!  So I have never really pressured Braden into messing with his lose tooth well this is his second tooth to lose and thanks to daddy he pulled it out for him!  I have been so worried that I will fall fast asleep and forget about his tooth!!  Well guess what happen I did it last night and thank God I was quick to think because he forgot all about it!  I got him up and started to panic because we don't have cash in the house Justin actually had it in his wallet at WORK!!  So Braden ran to the restroom so (as  bad mom) I ran to his piggy bank and grabbed some money to put under his pillow just in the nick of time because here he came looking under his pillow!!  Whew!!  That was close and I am sure I could have came up with a good reason but then what if I forgot tonight!!  So yes I will be sticking some money back in his bank!! The bad thing is he wanted to count all of his money he has gotten and I was like oh no he is going to be short on money!!  Glad we were running late I told him we had to get to school and we would like all of his money when we get home!!  I just pray that Santa never forgets to come to our house!! Yikes that could be really bad!!

Son of a B**ch!!

Anyone that knows Carter really well knows he is not scared of really anything and will say just about anything!! The last few days I keep hearing son of a bitch come out of his mouth and I didn't say anything because that is not something anyone around us says so I just assume he is not really saying it, well Braden decides to come to me last night and ask "Hey mom is son of a bitch a bad word"  I said yes it is we don't say that, Braden says "Well Carter keeps saying Son of a Bitch , Son of a Bitch"  I told Braden stop saying it it is very bad, well by this  time I am yelling at Carter to come here and I explain to him son of a bitch is a bad word we don't say that after saying all of this to BOTH boys Carter goes "Son of a Bitch is not a bad word, Braden follows right behind " Carter son of a bitch is a bad word don't say it"   I am like really do you not understand we don't talk like this!!  So I guess they both got the point after I threaten them with a bar of soap in the mouth but I had to hold myself from laughing because I think it just sounded fun to say to them!!  Braden never says bad words so I think they liked the way it sounded!!

A fun day at the water park!

So our family has been very busy between everyone getting married, baseball, school functions, and working on the house/land we haven't really had a day to kick back and relax!  Well we were invited to a birthday party at the water park in Silsbee  and let me just tell you I had my concerns because I really thought it was going to be really miserable with Emma being so little and it was a little cold outside but when we got there the kids took off and had a blast!!  It was perfect for them!! They stayed in the lazy river almost all day it was only 2 ft deep and the kids could just run around it!!  Knowing that Emma loves the water I thought we would try the kiddie area just wasn't sure if she would like it because it was COLD but it never crossed her mind she had a great time sitting in the water just playing!  So needless to say we had a wonderful time just relaxing with our kids and they had a ball!   Something we need to do more often is just sit back and enjoy them more not get so wrapped up in our everyday lives!!  I am so glad we went it was a very successful trip!

Is she Thirsty?

I was actually trying to catch her crawling if that is what you want to call it but instead I caught the funny face she makes and trying to get water out of the ball!  She has been making this face for awhile now and we swear she looks even more like Carter when she does!  She was also trying to keep Chloe the dog from getting the ball so they would fight over it!!  Chloe is very protective of Emma and has always been very gentle with her!  Emma loves the water she just decided to stay out of the pool and continue to get water and the ball and drink it!

Ice Cream Time!

So out of everyone in our family I am the only that doesn't care much for ice cream, I can count on one hand the amount of times I just needed to have ice cream and those times I was pregnant!!  So Justin gets a bowl of ice cream and I tell him to take Emma and let her taste it with him and boy was she in heaven!!!  Justin would take a bite and then Emma after a few times of this Emma thought daddy should not get any ice cream she should get it all!! It was very cute, she would make a fist out of her hands and just strain to get his attention that it was her turn to have a bite!!  So I guess I will be the odd one in our family that doesn't like ice cream!!

No memory!

So I have been putting off doing a blog for some time now, my sister law keeps telling me I should do one just to keep up with all of the things my kids do or say because Lord knows I can not remember anything!!  People that know me know that I can't remember things that happened yesterday so hopefully this will help me remember things that go on in our day to day lives!!  So I hope those that follow enjoy our family blog!
