Hide n seek!

The joy I have just sitting back and enjoying our three kids playing and laughing! Today was one of those days that we were all grumpy from lack of sleep Justin is on nights the kids spent the night at friends house which means staying up late And getting up early makes for two tired boys and mommy having only one child and no husband = cleaning the house yes not relaxing but cleaning like never before till 1 in the morning so yes today was a grumpy day but at the end of the day after having a big break down after my oldest rolled his eyes at me the kids started playing hide in seek yes all three it was the cutest thing ever! I honestly think she knew what she was doing! I will be postin the video very soon! Enjoy! The very end she gets scared and it was priceless!

The Christmas tree!

So after three kids I have never really worried about our Christmas tree but boy has Emma changed this! She loves the balls on the tree today she took a bunch off and put them in her baby doll stroller and has been all over the house! I guess she thinks she is shopping I have no idea! At first it drove me crazy but now I am like oh well we will just put them back up later!

Elf on the shelf!

So I really thought this year I could avoid the whole elf on the shelf deal but nope it has become a big deal! So we got our elf and his name is "buddy" and it has been fun! The kids love him! A friend of mine sent some information on how the elf will be mischievous at night time like get into the flour or wrap the Xmas tree just silly things so that might what is to come with our silly little elf! I think we will have fun with it this year!

Dixie

Yes Dixie is the name of our dog and Emma loves saying it! I think she thinks any animal that has four legs is called Dixie! She walks around all day and even in the car she says diiixxxiie dixxxxiiieee! It is really cute but lord you would think she would say momma or something but no she loves saying Dixie and daddy!

Thanksgiving week!

We went to west Texas for a few days, the boys got to go hunting and I got some relief from household chores the crazy busy days of school! The weather was great! The boys went hunting with there dad and he shot a nice 8pt with them they were all so excited! We came home and had thanksgiving with Justin's family, he had to work so we had dinner and the kids got to spend some time with their cousins, all in all it was very nice!

Emma the climber!

Out of all three of our children she has by far been the worse!!  She climbs onto the table, climbs up on the toilet and digs everything out of the basket, climbed up onto the sink in our bathroom to get our toothbrush!  Yes she is into everything!  She loves to stick everything in the toilet and drag it around the house so if you ever come here and wonder why all the doors are closed to the bathrooms there is your answer!   She keeps us on our toes!

Halloween 2011

This year we went on a hayride with Haley, Blake,Madison, Kegan, Diana, the kids and me!  It was very nice!  Emma was a trooper even with a busted mouth!  Got loads and loads of candy that will last forever!

Children!!

My children are my world and more!  I honestly do not know what I did before I had them!  I am learning to have more patience with them and allowing them to teach me what life is all about.  No matter what kind of day I am having they can always bring a smile to my face!  Emma can come and wrap her arms around my legs and just hug me tight!  Braden gives me his random hugs and kisses throughout the day!  Carter always tells me he loves me when I need to hear it!  I am so thankful that GOD gave us these three little angels!

Oh Carter!

So we were riding in the car the other day and the kids were watching their movies and Carter was watching Cat in the Hat now mind you Justin nor I have never watched this show  and Carter asks Justin "Hey dad you want to hear what the cat says when he cuts his tail off?" Justin "Yeah what does he say" Carter " SOOONNNN OFFFF aaaaaa BITCH" yep that is right sweet Carter just said it like nothing was wrong!!  I about died I could not hold the laughter and Justin tried very hard to keep a straight face and explained to Carter after the second time he said he that it was not a good word!!  Oh boy I think we are in for it with him!!  Just love it!

Dixie!

So after months of hunting for a new family pet we finally found us one!!  We were in the process of getting a 6wk old puppy from a lady in Houston when a coworker of Justins called us and asked if we found us a dog!  He said that we were on the phone with a lady about to get one and he said his neighbor had a dog he needed to get rid of.  So we got a picture of her on the phone and we both thought she looked ugly! I told Justin we will get a the puppy in Houston but we will go look at this guys dog and just make sure she really is ugly!  She is 5 months old so that was  a plus I wouldn't be starting with a bran new pup!  So we turn down this guys road and I told Justin this first house has a really cute dog on the porch and said that is her!!  So I guess the dear Lord above answered our prayers!!  I didn't really want to spend money on a dog and this one end up being free!!  She is super sweet and has been very easy to train!!  So far so good!!

Braden's 7th Birthday!

Wow I know 7 years old!!  I still can't believe or just don't want to but this was probably his most memorable one!  Justin and I decided to let him do a "campout" birthday party!  He had a very hard time deciding on who to invite so the number of kids kept going up and finally after 10 we said no more and THANK GOD we did!! Whew!!!  We had so much fun with this group of boys but it was alot of work!!  Trust me when I say there is a reason I never was a waitress!! Everyone wants this or that or wasn't right but all in all it was good!  We played hide n seek, roasted marshmallows, and hot dogs!!  The boys loved every minute of it and so did Emma!!

Fall Time!

Things have been crazy busy lately with school, church and soccer but we love every minute of it! Carter has started Pre K at the daycare he goes to and he LOVES it!!  I was so worried about him and school but as of right now he is loving it!  The boys have now started soccer which they love and get better each year!

1st Grade

So here we are at 1st grade!! Can't believe it!!  He is very excited he was ready to go back to school not sure if I was that boring or he was ready to go and see all of his friends!  We are looking forward to a great year!!

Soccer Time!

Yep it is that time of year!!  The boys love soccer and get better and better each year!  Lucky us Braden is still with our wonderful coach Doug and Carter will be with his cousin Kegan!  We got a phone call from our dear Coach Doug asking Justin to coach Carters team but with Justins work schedule it makes it very hard so he volunteered his cousin Diana and Me!! Thank you my love!!  So with lots of family support it will be fun, we might not know what we are doing but we will sure learn as we go!!  We are looking forward to soccer this year!!

Bunny Rabbits!

So after we lost all of our pets Gran and Pawpaw Linton thought we needed rabbits!!  We have built them a cage and so far so good they are making it!!

Braden

Braden has been a very busy little boy this summer!  He has been going on trips with us and with his friend Mason.  He went and spent a few days with his cousin Baylor in Kemah and he had a great time!  This summer he has started swimming without floats yay!!!  He learned pretty much by himself with some help from us but he just decided he wanted to start and he did!  Braden has had  a very hard time with losing our dog Chloe he is our very sensitive child unlike Carter which I will explain later!!  He has only asked us once about the cat and Justin told him he thinks she ran away but I am sure he will start asking more in the days to come! He has also started riding Grandpa Lulues horse skippy J all by himself!!  Makes me nervous but he loves it!!  We have had a very enjoyable summer and it has gone by way to fast not looking forward to the school year!!  Means early to bed, early to rise, homework, practice, getting clothes ready and etc etc!!   So now we are getting ready for 1st grade!!  Crazy!!!  The time has flown by!

Carter

Like I have told many people Carter is so much like me that it scares me!!  He doesn't care who you are what is wrong with your or if your having a bad day he is going to tell you like it is!!  No I am not saying this is good or bad it is a trait I have and sometimes it is bad!  When Chloe died and Braden was sooo upset and I am telling you he cried for several days Carter looked at me and said "I am sad about Chloe and I miss her but I am not crying"  I was like Carter it is ok to be sad and cry Braden is just very upset!!  Then we were at the mall and I NEVER go to the mall but we had to go for something and I was rushing and some girl was walking thru the mall and she was wearing some socks or shoes not real sure what they were but they went up to her knees they were black and looked like they had shoe strings tied to the top kinda weird looking but she got close to Carter and he told her those are some big shoes you are wearing!!  I could have just died!!  But instead I laughed so hard I am sure that girl was offended but oh well she should not have been wearing them if she didn't want attention!!

Chloe

Since we have moved we decided we should get the kids a dog and it just so happen that a girl I use to work with was getting ready of her rat terrier that was 2 years old because they were moving and could not take her!  So we got her and let me tell you she was the best dog ever!!  We loved her minus the shedding but other then that she was so protective of our children especially Emma she went on my daily jogs I mean we could not have asked for a better dog to fit in with our family!  Well during the week when my grandfather was not good at all we knew we had only days left with him we came home and let her out late one night and of course there was a  stray dog in our yard and she decided to run it off and she ran right across 365 and got hit by  a car!!  Broke all of our hearts!!  We still miss her so much!!  I don't think we will ever find another one like her!!  She was the best!

Emma's 1st Birthday!

Boy is this a bittersweet day!!  I must say if I knew my fourth baby would be like Emma I would have one in a heartbeat!!  She has been the best baby!!  I had the best pregnancy with her I felt great never sick, after I had her she was wonderful!! She slept all night from the time she was 3wks and she was a breastfed baby so that made it awesome!  She was able to keep breastfeeding till she was about 10 months old and it was prob the best thing for both us!  I never had any problems with anything!  I felt great right after I had her and  no lie from the time I found out we were pregnant till today has been the best time!! She has really been the easiest of all three of my kids!!  So like I said today is a very bittersweet day for me!   We had a great bday for her!  She got lots of clothes and some toys and we appreciate everything!!  She is having so much fun with all of it!!  We are very blessed to have such  wonderful family and friends!!

Emma loves to dance!

So I am not sure if her pawpaw taught her this or if she is just going to be our little dancer, but Emma loves to dance!!  Her pawpaw was doing the jitterbug with her and buddy she went to town dancing with him!! Of course I didn't get it on video but I will post some of her new moves!!  It was a very sweet moment watching them two dance together!!

The last couple of weeks she has really tried to walk!  On our vacation she took a couple baby steps to me!  I am not real sure if I am ready for her to walk  yet!   Today she walked from her door to her dresser which is prob about 6 or 7 steps and she was so excited!!

Bigdaddy!

Bigdaddy was one of the strongest man I have ever known!  I learned so much from him and will cherish the memories we have made together!  From swimming on the bayou and taking camp earlin showers to no running in the hardware store!  What a week it was to watch him!  I am still not real sure if it has even processed with me of his passing.  He was someone along with my other grandfather that passed that I always thought they weren't suppose to die they would always be here with me I know it is not possible but that is just how I feel, they were such strong people!  It is like I feel as if I will go to his house and he will be sitting in his chair watching tv or sleeping and wake up or look at me and put his hand up to his ear to hear me better and say "Hm is that right"  I think he said even if he didn't understand what I said!  I will never forget his last words to me and it was something I always heard from him was I love you always!!  There is no words to describe him or the way he touched my husband, children and my life!  You will be our hearts forever!!  We love you always and forever!!

2011 Family Vacation!

So this year we decided to keep our family vacation closer to home since Emma was going to be little! We rented a travel trailer and we all went and spent the week at the lake!  Travis, Kat, JC, Jim, Roya, Mom, Dad and all of us!  We had a great time!  The boys went fishing and rode the tube!  Lots of swimming and riding the jetski!  It was a much needed of rest and relaxation! I must say the past vacation have a been a little more relaxing for me!  Emma was not the easiest to make happy which is very out of the norm for her!  She hates to be restrained to anything!  She likes to just go and crawl but there was not much crawling for her plus I made her stay in a walker when she was outside and there was not much room to roam for her!  I am hoping next years trip will be some what better for her!

Emma is turning one very soon and she is into everything!!  She is for sure the climber out of all three of our kids!!  A couple of weeks ago she tried to climb into my bathtub and she was getting very mad she had one leg going up to get in but of course she is to short so it just really made her mad!! Then she was trying to climb out of her crib!!  She was hanging out and had her leg up to get out but once again to short and very mad!!  Well today I have a air mattress in the living room along with a twin one for the boys they had a sleepover and she was in heaven!! She could crawl onto the couch!!  Yea she was excited!! Well I was sitting there talking to Justin and his back was to here and I thought I was watching her and before I knew it she had climbed all the way to the top of the couch like it was nothing!!!!  That little girl is fast and she gets into everything!! Besides the climbing she loves toilet paper!!!  She will have a trail of paper all over this house that she has torn into millions of pieces if we don't put it out of her reach!!  Lord help us when she starts walking!!

Crazy Hair!

I still laugh about this!!  Emma's hair is getting  very long and after her bath I didn't let it dry completely before bedtime and let me tell you it was the craziest hair that morning!!  It stuck straight up!!  The boys had church camp that morning and I guess in the rush of things I forgot to comb her hair down so we went to church and Justin was holding her and I wasn't paying much attention to her and I overheard a guy say "Look at that hair" and I kinda turned around hoping it wasn't me he was talking about and he was laughing and I looked up at Emma and was like oh lord I forgot to comb her hair down!!  I was like sorry!!  The guy was like I think it is cute her hair must be growing so then I wondered if he really thought her hair was like this all of the time!!  It was a good laugh because it just goes to show how I forget things that usually would drive me crazy when we are rushing out the door!

Grilled Cheese and Oreo sandwich!

Yep that is right a Grilled Cheese and Oreo sandwich!!  I know you are probably thinking how disgusting but if you are any part of the TRAVIS family you know what this is!!  This is our Uncle Clayton's famous sandwich!!  I learned about this sandwich after working for him at the hardware store and yes at first I was like your crazy that is gross but it really isn't!!  Try it!! You might like it!!  I made it for the boys and they LOVED it!! Imagine that!!  Justin just thinks we are crazy and has not tried this family sandwich but he will in time!!

This was a very last min camping trip with mema and pawpaw!  Took the kids fishing and they learned to run a trout line and chase our jug lines all over the lake!!  We had a great time!!  We are going on another camping trip with the whole family which might be a little better because there will be swimming involved with this trip!  We went to damn b for this spur of the moment deal it was nice but swimming would have been better but there were some big gators watching us!!  So no swimming for us!!  It did rain for a couple of days which wasn't bad like we thought me and the boys actually played in it!!  We kinda acted like it was our first time to see rain (which it was really for us in a really really long time)!  It was a very nice and relaxing trip!!

Camp!

We have spent some time (not as much as we like yet) at our camp that we are remodeling!!  We have came along way and thanks to my wonderful dad who let us borrow his crew for a couple of days!!  We actually have all of the walls up and now we need water and some electricity!!  I will post pictures soon only because I forgot to take them the last time we were there!! Ooops!

I am enjoying this time with kids as much as possible!! I make sure on Justin's days off we are busy going!!  It is hard to do things with them by myself with all three of them but I do and we manage but it is alot easier when I have an extra hand!!  Plus makes me less stressed and able to enjoy each of them more!!  Yes as a mom you learn to do many things at once by yourself just sometimes it is better not to for many different reasons!!  So far we have gone to Pirates Bay Water park in Baytown and the kids and I enjoyed it very much!!  This was also a daddy and little girl day!!  I was a little concerned for them but he did very well with her all by himself!!  And no I don't doubt my husbands abilities to take care of our children but for some reason he seems to act like this little girl of ours his is first and things are so different, so lets just say there were lots of questions before I left that morning to spend the day with our boys!
